Not a screenshot, not a compressed copy. Each picture is saved at full size, and the same picture is never stored twice.

Pictures are encrypted with your password (AES-256-GCM) before they leave your phone. Your storage only ever holds ciphertext.

Waifu Deck is open source under AGPL-3.0. What the app does with your pictures, keys and passwords is all in the code, so you can check it instead of taking our word for it, or build the APK yourself.

Cost
Is it really free? Will that change?Free, and open source under AGPL-3.0. We run no servers that store your pictures, so there is no bill to pass on to you.
Are there ads?No ads, no analytics, no tracking.
Privacy
Do I need an account?No. Install it and start swiping; your library stays on your phone.
Will it touch my other cloud files?No. On Google Drive and OneDrive the app can only reach its own folder.
Sync
Can I use it without cloud storage?Yes. Sync is optional; the library on your phone is complete on its own.
Which of the six should I pick?For the least setup, pick Cloudflare R2, Bunny or Backblaze B2: paste one API key and the app creates the rest. Already have Google Drive, OneDrive or a NAS? Use that.
My phone is running out of space.Switch the library to “Cloud only”: the phone keeps thumbnails and fetches full pictures from your storage when you open them.

Why is it not on an app store?Download the signed APK here. When a new version is out the app tells you, and it installs over the old one with your library and storage connection intact.
